A group of us attended a tribute act and spent two nights in the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was also very good. The rooms were clean and facilities were what you would expect so all in all very favourably impressed and will definitely consider staying there again.
This is a decent, comfortable hotel serving good food. I stayed for the weekend and enjoyed a Lionel Ritchie tribute. Excellent value for money! It's also a lovely, friendly burgh with good shops and lovely river walks. I wrote the above as I wanted to give the hotel a good review because it was good - but... I sent a private message about my massage but there was no reply, so I'll write a public review. My weekend cost a very reasonable 100+ but I booked a massage, which cost 50 and did not feel it was particulalry relaxing, especially since staff were outside the door shouting at one another. I was stroked for the duration of the massage and despite asking for a deep, shoulder massage it did not happen - my shoulders were not even massaged from the head end.
The staff were amazing and could not do more for you and always with a smile. The lounge where we were was lovely_ comfortable and cosy. Sadly the food wasn't so good. Burger served in cold hard bun and didn't taste good. Batter on fish was soggy. But staff dealt with it no questions. Definitely recommend.
